Uphill Edge Consulting is led by Stephanie Anderson Stroup, someone who knows firsthand what it means to be the lead cook, bottle washer, and problem‑solver‑in‑chief for a busy hospitality operation. With Midwest roots and a career rooted in Pacific Northwest small business, Stephanie brings the same energy she takes to her outdoor adventures to help owners build businesses that are both high‑performing and deeply human.
Stephanie founded, grew, and sold her 10-year-old company in Bend, Oregon, in 2019. Since then, she has been working with small businesses and hospitality property owners to build and refine their operations. As a thought leader and consultant, Stephanie is known for listening closely, untangling tangles, optimizing operations, and creating a culture where people feel both supported and challenged to do their best work. She brings creativity and resourcefulness to every project—armed with a metaphorical toolkit of baking soda, WD‑40, zip ties, a strong cup of coffee, and a “yes” attitude.
When she’s not working to make your business awesome, you’ll likely find her on the trail hiking, biking, skiing, or rafting with her husband, Adam, and their best fuzzy buddies, Sara and Finnie.
